It can plays the birds song, which drives the cat crazy!

So far the accuracy of the ID portion is fantastic. I have yet to not be able to ID a bird. Not to mention all the great facts about birds. I would pay for this app!! Keep up the good work.

One of the developers I met in NE told me about it. Ive used it to ID many birds.

I love the way this app is organized! So easy to use and based on characters that are easy to spot! I just hope they keep adding more species.

I have other bird apps, and just got this one upon fellow bird man telling of & showing me Merlin. Wow, Im impressed with the ease, speed, and accuracy.

Having a great time identifying birds in my backyard. The pictures are helpful since the birds look different at different ages & males unique coloring compared to females. Birdsongs also helpful for identification. Have recommended it to all my friends.

Knowing the names of my various feathered friends in my woodsy back yard adds much to the joy of feeding them each morning!

Greatly enjoying this easy to use app. Learning a lot and having fun. Wish it kept a log of which I have seen but it is great and appreciated as is.

This app is very easy to use, provides multiple examples of what each bird looks like and provides the bird call to help when youre on the wall on two similar bird IDs. I find it very helpful.

Amazing app - easy to use but no tracking function to know what youve seen when and where. Heartbreaking because its a great tool but just missed the mark big time on this one.

It is so simple with the four questions they ask. It narrows down your choices to just a few and then you can use the Birdsong to confirm your final identification. Its really a great app.

Love this app to ID birds. The audio is the best bonus feature to hear all of the bird songs associated with the bird you ID.

Handy identification guide. Photos are beautiful. Wonderful song and call recordings help identify the bird of interest while also demonstrating the various regional "dialects" of birdsong. More examples from the Midwest would be welcome.

This is such a wonderful tool, both in the backyard and along on trips. We recently went to a State Park in Louisiana and had a small family of first-time nature watchers join us on the hike. The grandmother, mother and 2 children had never before seriously listened to, tried to identify, or "speak" to birds. Merlin was the most exciting thing theyd ever seen. The only thing that made them want to stop using it was the sight of a huge alligator in the river. Keep adding birds! Merlin is amazing.
