I recommend this app as a handy adjunct to your field guides. Its great if Im somewhere I cant get my hands a bird book or have access to a computer.

Very easy to use and fun to get instant IDs of the birds!
The first thing I go to in the field to ID and learn about a bird I cant identify.
This is a wonderful app that I would gladly pay $10 for. Very easy to identify birds with little experience on my part.
Love using this application for quick identification of birds. However it does not list all the birds I see in my neighborhood. Apparently it only lists those birds that have already been reported by other app. users. I guess it will improve with time as more people report birds in my neighborhood.
It tried other bird apps and none even come close to this one. Intuitive, great photos of the birds, quick search function by color. If you arent a bird watcher or are just getting your feet wet this is perfect for you too!
Been very frustrated with various websites and identification wizards. This has been excellent.
Easy and intuitive to use
Really enjoy the app. I like that I can get close by look and coloration. Then I switch to sound and nail it down. I wish there was a log feature that kept track of birds you ID.
Great App !
Of all the apps I have purchased, this one is my favorite; it is reliable with great photos of birds in various stages as well as male/female. The sound recordings are fun and a most helpful aid in identification
I never write reviews, but this is my favorite app. Its free and its never steered me wrong. Definitely the best birding app to own.
Love it,easy to use,very accurate!
Great pictures. Idd the common merganser first try. Did not identify the buffleheads , did identify the other merganser first try when I reduced the size estimate. Still did not include the buffleheads. Easy to use. Nice having the calls and maps.
This app lets you input the salient details of what you saw & get the manageable group of likely candidates for your answer in a few moments--at least if (like me) youre a feeder-watcher whos seeing the common Midwestern seasonal birds. An added pleasure is appreciating how much more often we hear birds before, or without, seeing them, and learning the songs--the music of the birds. The photos and sound recordings typify most species while also giving a good range of variability. I wish there were more contributions from the central Midwest. Excellent app.
Excellent app for identifying and learning about birds. My friends now think I am a bird scholar.
Easy, quick, great pics, and good info. We are recommending it to family and friends already.
