Ive found this to be the best app for simply learning the name of a bird Ive seen.
Well laid out and straightforward, it has good, clear photographs of adult sexes and juveniles (rather than the antiquated species illustrations that I never found very helpful).
It considers your location, fine of year, and bird size, colour, and behaviour when making suggestions - but you can also look at its entire library if you think its not offering what you spotted.
Owing to the number of good resolution photographs and bird call recordings, it is a larger app in terms of storage. But this is a small price to pay for such usefulness.
